An extremely 3D game. A cube of splooshy water. Fight for your life!!

In Kersploosh! you control both yourself and your cursor in every direction in 3D space. HYPER DEMON-inspired rail combo mechanics and super moves meet a silky smooth water simulation where you can make giant waves, then swim up into them.

Online high scores hosted on my indie site arcade2000! You can put fun image banners and stuff! Anyone can ascend! It's the future of gaming!!

This game is another attempt in my quest to make the most 3D game possible, and my other quest to learn the design philosophy of HYPER DEMON. Two of my previous gamejam games, Vertico and Vertabyss, had similar 3D isometric controls, but I didn't use any assets from them, as they were made in different engines.

Some things you can do in this game that you might not realize:

* Build a giant tower of water and swim up it 50m to get the "skyscraper" achievement (shown on arcade2000)

* Flying through the air, shoot a rail through oil to make "scatterbomb" (the oil slick mechanic was inspired by the jam's theme "slick")

* Combo enemies in quick succession using rail lockon ricochets

* Force the water downwards so the enemies can't move. Chill in the sand and maybe do a rail combo if you're good enough

* BEAT THE GAME and get the "win game" achievement on arcade2000.io which you'll eventually be able to show off in other games' charts.

* Add an image banner, webpage, name decorator, and profile pic to your entry in the high score chart!

Mouse with scroll wheel is required! If you struggle with depth perception, you can press Tab to switch to perspective camera during gameplay.

This was made in 9 days by Ultimate Walrus for Bigmode Game Jam 2026. The only stuff reused was some general-purpose code from previous projects (sound effect manager, arcade2000 bindings, etc). The water surface physics logic was done from scratch twice over during the jam (first attempt only worked on my machine). The actual shading of the water surface was based off this.
